2. Browsing this website
This website collects no personal data while you browse. We use no tracking, analytics or profiling tools.
Cookies
The site uses technical cookies only, needed for it to work (for instance to remember the choice you made on the cookie banner). There are no profiling cookies and no third-party advertising cookies.
3. Using the software: what we process and why
Your work never leaves your computer. The camera solve runs on your own computer: photographs, models and file names are never sent to us or to anyone else. Only the licence data described below reaches our server.
The software uses an online licensing system. To make it work we process the following data:
| Email address | You enter it for the free trial, or it is the one used for the purchase. It is used to send you the verification code, to tie the licence to you and to contact you for support. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). |
|---|---|
| Computer identifier | Generated by the plugin as a cryptographic fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) of a system identifier: it contains no serial numbers in clear text. It ties the licence to the registered computers and counts the workstations in use. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)). |
| Computer name | Read from the operating system, to show you which of your computers is currently using the licence. Legal basis: performance of the contract. |
| IP address, date and time of requests | Logged by the server on every activation and check, for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). |
| Licence key, licence type and status | Generated by the licensing system, to manage the licence and support. Legal basis: performance of the contract. |
| Payment and billing data | Collected by Paddle at checkout. We have no access to payment data. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligation. |
4. Who we share data with
Data is processed by suppliers acting as processors on behalf of 3DG:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — licensing servers and database (distributed infrastructure, with possible processing outside the EU under standard contractual clauses);
- Resend, Inc. — sending the emails with the verification code;
- Paddle.com Market Ltd (United Kingdom) and Paddle.com Inc. (United States) — the store acting as merchant of record: Paddle is the seller towards you, collects payment and taxes and issues the invoice. It processes purchase data as an independent controller under its own notice; it passes on to us the email address and the order details needed to issue the licence.
Data is never sold or given to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. How long we keep it
| Licence, registered computers, email | For the whole life of the licence and for 10 years afterwards, for tax obligations and to be able to prove the licence entitlement |
|---|---|
| Free trial not followed by a purchase | 24 months from registration, to prevent repeated trials |
| Technical events with IP address | 12 months |
| Email verification codes | 10 minutes |
6. Your rights
You may request access to your data, its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to support@3dg.it. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
Erasing the licence data makes the software unusable, since it depends on the online check.
7. Nature of the provision
The email address and the computer identifier are necessary to use the software: without them the trial and the licence cannot be activated.
8. Security
Communication between the software and our servers goes over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Licence authorisations are digitally signed by the server and verified by the software. The computer identifier is stored only as a hash.
